Udon tom yum soup from Bankok's Best for lunch. I went down with Dayo, who got a curry rice dish. Random leftovers from the refrigerator for dinner.
I feel a little sick tonight, so I'm just going to go to bed early.
Dinner with Michael at Watami, the new shabu shabu/ramen place on Geary. It was okay. Average. I liked the soup and the toppings, and I really like the way you can add curry to a bunch of the ramens. Anchovy and pepperocini midnight pizza. The pizza turned out pretty well. I wish I had a little more anchovy, but it was a good balance.
I'm back! I was in Los Angeles over the weekend which explains, but does not excuse, my lack of posting over the last few days.
I've been slacking with the blog and the pictures lately. I don't think it'll get any better over the weekend.
Mac and cheese with anchovies (finally!) and capers for lunch. Random bits of food around Edith's house for dinner. What did I have yesterday? Leftovers (ribs and duck noodles with bok choy) for dinner; seafood noodle soup from the korean place at the Westfield Mall for lunch. I don't remember the name. The noodles were unmemorable -- slightly below average. I should have gone to the International Food Court instead!
Pesto tortellini, steamed asparagus, and about a million stale corn chips for lunch with Edith and Jeff. The annual giant Wong Family Chinese New Years dinner for dinner. I guess that's about it.
Lunch with Emily, Bryan, and Chris at the Crocker Galleria. We sat up on the roof and talked and ate. I had the seafood risotto from Pizzaella (or something like that -- it's to the right as you get off of the escalator.) It was okay. I'd say good for mall food, average overall.
Lunch with Marvin in Chinatown. I forget what the place was called, but I had the duck yee won ton (fried won ton.) It was okay, but it was no Kam's. Dinner at the Cathay House in Chinatown (again!)
Because it's Sri Lankan, I thought about Jocey and Hannah and Hini!
Dinner at Lee Hou on Clement with Mom and Dad. No pictures, but we got the $19.95 fixed menu (soup, chicken, pork, tofu and bok choy) which was more than enough food for us three. Dumpling soup with Marvin at Brother's for a second dinner. Heh. I thought I couldn't eat any more after Lee Hou. I was wrong. I wanted to try the dumplings, after having my own wonton a couple of times this week, and having made dumplings with Marvin last weekend. The Korean dumplings were all right. A good taste, but the fillings kind of broke apart in the soup. Again, I think they were missing some kind of binding agent (whatever that may be!)
