A pound of chow fun from the take out counter at the Our Court Cafe. I think it has its own name, but I don't know what it is. Anyhow the chow fun is a good deal ($2.15/pound) and makes a nice base to add whatever else (e.g. duck and veggies) one feels like eating. Rice, duck, and ume-boshi (picked plum) chazuke for dinner. The chazuke was great for cutting the grease (delicious, delicious grease) of the duck.

The Vietnamese place on Fifth and Howard with Mimi for lunch. I had the bamboo shoots and duck noodle soup. It sounds really good, but it was pretty bland. Too bad. I've liked everything else I've tried there, though, so I'm sure to go back. Fresh noodles (60% water, 3% sesame oil, 3% salt, 2% baking soda), curry bison, and broccoli at home for dinner. The noodles were very good, but the curry bison didn't turn out as well as I like. I mean the curry taste was fine, but I didn't like the texture of the ground bison in this context. I should probably have sliced up a steak. Oh well. Now I know.

燒鴨 and 叉燒 for lunch....

Roast duck (燒鴨) and Chinese bbq pork (叉燒) for lunch, and then again for a midnight snack. Mussels, crepes, and fries from Frjtes with Shilpa and Troy for dinner.

Free lunch at Basil Thai with, well, a lot of people from work. It was free because Chris put his business card in the 'get a free lunch!' box and his card was drawn. I got the duck noodles, which was pretty good, although I thought the broth was a little thin. Leftovers for dinner at home -- chicken and rice and a bit of yaki-soba that Marvin brought over.

Duck won-ton noodles from the Jade Cafe for lunch. Salmon and rice, and black bean noodles (leftovers) at home for dinner. Because it's the new year, I took one big bite out of my new year cookie (the fish!)
