Lunch with Auren from the International Food Court. I went to the Burmese place to get the chicken coconut curry noodle soup that I love so. I like the way they package the soup and the noodles separately, so the noodles don't get soggy on the walk back to the office.
Dinner with Michael at Watami, the new shabu shabu/ramen place on Geary. It was okay. Average. I liked the soup and the toppings, and I really like the way you can add curry to a bunch of the ramens. Anchovy and pepperocini midnight pizza. The pizza turned out pretty well. I wish I had a little more anchovy, but it was a good balance.
I'm back! I was in Los Angeles over the weekend which explains, but does not excuse, my lack of posting over the last few days.

Lunch with Garth at the International Food Court. I had the chicken
coconut noodle soup, which was extremely good. My only complaint was
the crappy spoonage; they only had little plastic teaspoons. Next time
I'm taking my own soup spoon down there. Pizza at home for dinner. It
was just okay -- artichoke hearts and canadian bacon. I think either
makes a good topping individually, but they don't play well together. The other problem with the pizza was that the dough was nothing special. I was too hasty. I used the dough I made yesterday instead of the dough I made on Monday or so, so it didn't really have enough time to develop. The texture was great, but the flavor just wasn't there.
