Leftovers for lunch and dinner.
In the interest of back-filling some of the time I was away, here are the two best noodles I had in Hawaii. The top one is the chicken curry udon from Coco Ichibanya, which is a chain. A yummy, yummy chain. I went to the one on McCully and Kapiolani. I thought it was really good. The soup was smooth and well-balanced. If I have to complain about something it's that the curry wasn't that hot. Also I got curry stains on my white shirt from slurping up the noodles. But I guess I can't fairly blame them for that.
The bottom picture is the char sui (roast pork) tan tan ramen from Goma Tei in the Ward Center. The tan tan was excellent -- a good spicy sesame/peanut flavor. I mentioned it before, but I think there was too much char sui for the dish. It threw off the balance. Next time I'll get the straight tan tan ramen with a single piece of pork.

Beef curry clay pot leftovers for lunch -- it was part of the dinner I had with Jeff, Teresa, and Michael last week. Still pretty good. Typical, ya? Curries always taste better the next day, after the flavors have a chance to meld together. Turkey, sausage, and pepperocini pizza for dinner. It was so-so. The turkey (deli sliced) didn't add a whole lot of flavor, and the sausage looked better than it tasted.
Leftover sticky rice (Edith) and salmon (Mom) for lunch. No picture. I forgot. I was deciding between eating the leftovers (which I took to work) and going to the pot pie place on Mission and Third. I decided, in the end, to save my money and eat what I already have. Pepperocini and artichoke heart pizza for dinner. It turned out really well. I am so in love with pepperocini. I used the slightly wetter (68% vs 62% water) dough, which I like.
