Lunch with Edith and her kids at the pho place on Woodside in Redwood City (Pho Hoa Binh?)  I got the rare beef and tendon pho.  It was okay.  The chunks of tendon were large, and not very tender.  Dinner with the family at Edith's place.

Black bean chicken noodles for lunch.  I used cake flour and tried making hand-pulled noodles, but it didn't work.  The dough tore every time I tried to pull it, so I ended up just using a rolling pin and cutting it.  Dinner with Michael at the Macao and Friends restaurant on Irving.  At first we tried to go to Cajun Pacific, but they were all full.  Anyhow satay beef chow mein (pictured) and a Portugese curry crab (not).  The crab was pretty good.  It's not PPQ, on the other hand, it's nearly so expensive, either.

Breakfast burrito for lunch with, well, a lot of people from work.  We went to the Taqueria Castillo at Market and Mason.  The breakfast burrito is pretty solid.  Still not as good as the old Love's Cafe on Polk.  Man, her breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon was awesome.  Dinner with Charles and Marvin at Shalimar.  The Chicken Tikka Masala was just excellent tonight, better than the usual very, very good.  Midnight noodles with Marvin and Charles at My Favorite Cafe.  I got the luncheon meat and egg noodles (where "luncheon meat" is a euphamism for Spam, or one of the many Spam facsimilies.)  It was pretty good.  After the fresh noodles of the last few days, though, it's kind of a disappointment.

Leftover Henry's Hunan kung pao chicken for lunch and dinner.  Lunch was just with rice, but dinner was with soup and freshly made noodles (although the dough was a couple of days old.)  I liked the dinner version better.

Chicken, daikon, and mushroom noodle soup for lunch.  I just made very simple noodles -- like 60% water, a pinch of salt, and a dash of baking soda.  They turned out pretty well.  Rolled flat then cut into noodles with my pizza cutter.  Thai peanut chicken noodles for dinner.  The greens are sauteed radish leaves (a Chang-thing) and the noodles are leftover spaghetti with flax from Trader Joe's.

Tea and jook for lunch at Samovar with Sophie.  Dinner with Marvin.  We made two kinds of soup noodles -- Sesame Chicken and a more straight-forward chicken noodle, but with sauteed radish leaves.  I liked the noodles we made -- just 60%  (baker's percentage) water and a pinch of salt.

Spaghetti and meatballs in Palo Alto with Shilpa and Troy.  Pizza for dinner with the peeps from work.  Late night noodles with fish paste and broccoli for, well, late night noodles.  I made egg noodles tonight, but maybe a little too eggy.  Well, definitely too eggy.  One egg for about a 2/3 cup flour.  Heh.  The noodles practically taste like an omelette in soup.  Ok.  Lesson learned.
